Rev. John Foster, Senior Pastor
Pastor John was ordained in 1983 and has served congregations in Las Vegas, Nevada and Simi Valley, California before accepting the call as Pastor to Shepherd of Life in 1991. He holds a BS degree from Arizona State University as well as a Master of Divinity degree from Wartburg Theological Seminary. Pastor John and his wife Ruth have 4 children and 5 grandchildren. He never wins but loves to play Texas Hold ‘em and hopes to one day see the Rangers win their first World Series.
Rev. Mark Hadley, Associate Pastor
Pastor Mark joined the staff of Shepherd of Life in January 2011 after a 21-year career in professional theater management. He held the position of Director of Adult Ministries here at Shepherd of Life until October 2017, at which time he was ordained. Pastor Mark is a graduate of Texas A&M University, earning both a B.S. in Psychology and an M.B.A. Pastor Mark has been married to his bride Lanell since 1993, and they have two daughters, Harper and Piper. He is an avid soccer fan and loves to root for his adopted team in England, Tottenham Hotspur.
Jonathan Lys, Director of Youth and Family Ministry
Jonathan Lys is a native Texan who joined the staff at Shepherd of Life in 2010. He has many years of Youth and Family Ministry experience including camping ministry, volunteer work, and congregational youth ministry. Jonathan graduated from Texas Lutheran University with a B.A. in Philosophy and minors in Theology and Greek. Jonathan and his wife Lauren have 2 boys, Jonah and Lucas, who keep them on their toes. Jonathan enjoys playing games, occasionally watching football, baseball or hockey, listening to podcasts, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
Kim Doege, Director of Preschool
Kim is a professional educator with over 35 years in public education. She became the director of Little Shepherd Children’s Center in August 2014. Kim received her BS in Education from Texas Tech University and her Master of Education from Texas Woman’s University. She and her husband, Bill, have been members of SOL since 1980. Kim enjoys spending time with her family, especially her grandson, Gage, daughter, Megan, and her husband, Chris.
Andrea Wolz, Office & Communications Coordinator
Andrea is a wife and mother of 3 girls. Her oldest is in high school and the youngest two are twin first graders. As you can imagine, her family keeps her very busy. She likes to come to work at church for her “me time” and stimulate her creative side by designing the bulletin and newsletter and doing whatever administrative work that is needed. Andrea is a self-described nerd, who loves science. When she is not working at the church or spending time with her children, she loves to read sci-fi/fantasy books or relax with her husband watching the same on television.
Tammy Nadaskay, Business Administrator
Tammy joined the staff of Shepherd of Life in November 2015. She is a member of Calvary Lutheran Church and splits her time working as the Office Manager/Business Administrator for both churches. She has a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of North Texas and has spent over 20 years as an IT manager in Fort Worth as well as 5 years in the US Air Force and 5 years as the Office Manager at All Saints Lutheran Church in Arlington. Tammy and her husband, David, have 2 children and 2 grandchildren. They enjoy spending time with family and friends, cooking, and travelling.
Eddie Creel, Music Director
Eddie has served as Music Director at Shepherd of Life for over 30 years. He is currently employed at John Peter Smith Hospital in Ft. Worth, where he serves as team leader in a Cardiac Progressive Care Unit. Eddie also collects exotic animals from all over the world as a hobby.
Cathy Dismore, Bell Choir Director
Cathy joined Shepherd of Life in 2000 and soon after, due to generous donations, the church purchased a two-octave set of bells. She was asked to direct our first bell choir. The choir started with nine members and as it grew, so did the number of octaves of bells. There are currently 25 members in two choirs, with five octaves of bells and five octaves of hand chimes available to play. Cathy's degree is from the University of North Texas in music and she is now retired after teaching 26 years in the public school system. Cathy enjoys reading mysteries, cooking, swimming, kayaking, and spending time with family and friends.
Fred Woehr, Facilities Manager
Fred grew up in New Jersey in the 50’s and 60’s and joined Boeing Helicopter in 1973, where he worked for 34 years. Fred met his eventual bride Connie in 1978 and they were married in 1981. They moved to Texas in 1995. Their family consists of three children -- Elana, Maya, and Freddy, and five grandchildren -- Zachary, Samuel, Timothy, Hannah, and Rebecca. Fred and Connie joined the Shepherd of Life family in 2010, and Fred became the Facilities Manager in 2013. Fred’s hobbies include sprint car racing, and taking care of his grandsons and his dogs.
